The East Chambers Education Foundation Prize Patrol visited campuses in January awarding a total of $17,900.03 in grant money, our highest amount awarded in one month to date! We couldn't do this without your support. Sponsorships along with individual contributions through events, raffle tickets, and memorials are what makes the EC Education Foundation successful.
East Chambers High School Commercial Photography received $4,850.00 for new camera equipment and $270 for a Street Photography assignment. Congratulations to Mrs. Otte and her students!
East Chambers High School Buccaneer Band received a grant for their jazz band start up and a second grant partnering with the EC Band Boosters for a student experience grant. Congratulations to Ms. Semich, Mrs. Bordelon, and their students.
East Chambers Primary will be receiving a campus wide grant for new and improved headphones. The new headphones will contribute to the school-wide adoption of Clever technology enabling students to access the information in a noise-free environment and focus more on their learning without distraction. These durable headphones will also last longer despite the energetic nature of young learners in the classroom. Congratulations to the First Grade Team on being awarded this grant that benefits the entire campus.
East Chambers Elementary fourth graders received a grant to attend "Diary of a Wimpy Kid Musical" at MainStreet Theater where students will learn to understand how characters, plot, and setting work together to create a compelling narrative. Students will have opportunities to analyze the characters’ motivations, relationships, and decisions which encourages critical thinking, a crucial skill for academic success. Congratulations to the Fourth Grade Team and their students.
